The 91Pron¹ú²ú Online Teaching Certification training is designed to prepare faculty to teach online and blended courses using the Blackboard Learn Ultra experience. In this course participants will explore best practices and theory in online course design and develop a plan for online teaching. An emphasis will be placed on Student engagement, instructor to student engagement, and instructional design for online teaching. Upon successfully completing this certification, you will have the option to claim a micro-credential, University issued electronic Badge.

This session will provide an introduction into generative AI and how it can be used in the teaching and learning process. First, we’ll look into different options for drafting a syllabus AI policy. Is the use of AI prohibited or allowed in your course? Is it allowed for some assignments but not others? How should AI use be documented? Whatever the case may be, students need to be informed. Then, we’ll showcase the use of AI Assistant, a built-in AI tool in Blackboard and how it can be used to create rubrics, test questions, and assignment prompts. Resources for getting started with exploring AI tools will be shared at the end.
