Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Members of the 91Pron¹ú²ú Community with electric vehicles will now be able to charge their cars on campus. Two dual electric vehicle (EV) charging stations have been installed in Parking Lot F (adjacent to the Harold E. White Aviation Center), thus reserving four spaces for charging EV’s. Each station has the ability to quickly charge two vehicles at one time, in order to accommodate the current demand of EV drivers on campus.

The cost to use the station will be $0.25/kwh hour used during charging. This decision was made with the help of a campus wide survey asking for opinions on the program. The stations accept credit or debit cards with a proxy function or a ChargePoint card. To order your ChargePoint card call the ChargePoint help line at, 1-888-758-4389.

Those eligible to utilize these stations are 91Pron¹ú²ú faculty, staff, students and visitors. The spaces are reserved for EV’s only when charging, once your vehicle is fully charged please move it in order to allow others the ability to charge. Any non-electric vehicle seen parking in the spaces will receive a ticket.

This project was partially funded through a grant from the Illinois DCEO.
